Encore Studios, Inc. Was founded in 1984 by Bill & Julie Sellers. In 1988, a move to the art vibrant Oregon Historic District allowed for growth of the studio and their family. By 1995, the studio relocated to west Kettering, expanding to 2 recording studios, a photography studio, and Graphic arts studio. In 2007, Jeremy Mix partnered with Bill on the audio side of the business, helping take on a revamp of the space and equipment to current industry standards, and attracting additional clientele.
In 2017, Bill and Julie, sold the business to Jeremy, and it has been relocated Downtown again to it's present location at 14 / 16 Bates Street. Jeremy continues Bill & Julie's Legacy with a talented team of Engineers, Producers and Musicians, and has conneced it with several other technical creative businesses to support one another.

The TEAM
Encore has been designed with versatility and efficiency at the forefront. With acoustically tuned rooms, we are capable of capturing vibrant room sounds while also having oversized vocal booths that will fit 8 person choir ensembles and dedicated amp rooms . The layout of the shared live room allows for built-in efficiency and for multiple projects to be tracked simultaneously. We have space to track up to an 18 member orchestral ensemble at once, and are especially known for allowing a live band to record "rehearsal-style" - giving familiar closeness and visual lines-of-sight, while allowing for complete sonic separation and saving time.
Our control rooms were built and treated to create ideal tracking, mixing and mastering sonic spaces. In addition to this, our clients tell us our climate-controlled environments are comfortable and calming, allowing the creative juices to flow without interruption.
Gear wise, while we have several in-house systems, including ProTools HD2, we are particularly proud of the fact that any producer with any level of experience can bring their MAC/PC and DAW of choice, and quickly tie-in to our systems, having full access to our rooms, mic's, pre's, monitoring systems, instruments, etc. Track with world class equipment into the system you know best, and take it home to edit and manipulate on your time. This functionality is rapidly building excitement in the Miami Valley music community as songwriters, touring musicians, and DIY home producers can realize sonic excellence at a fraction of the cost.
